Reston- is a planned community located in Fairfax County, Virginia in the Washington D.C. metro area. The Reston Town Center is becoming the focal point for business and transportation connections within the community. Reston is home to world headquarters for 5 fortune 500 companies (NVR, Sprint Nextel, XO Communications, NII Holdings & Sallie Mae)

Reston- was conceived as a planned community by Robert E. Simon and was founded on his 50th birthday April 20, 1964. His initials RES make up the first 3 letters of the town name. Since the opening of Dulles Airport in 1962, Reston has grown into a major activity center for the northern Virginia.
